First annual HASAN FEST: out jazz/improvised music
Versus just doing a one-off tribute concert for the late beloved Hasan Abdur-Razzaq, we would actually like to begin a new tradition of celebrating him and his love for out jazz and improvised music yearly. So, we kick this tradition off on Sept 11th! Come and help us remember and celebrate Hasan with a lot of his longtime friends and collaborators from the out jazz scene. We have several musicians coming from out of state (Rent Romus, Tatsuya Nakatani, Skeeter Shelton et al.) to play on this concert bill. Full details on the concert poster in the comments.
We will be in the Van Fleet theater at the Columbus Performing Arts Center. This is a beautiful black box theater with excellent sightlines and clear, appealing acoustics. It seats 175 which means there will be plenty of room to social distance if you like to have that peace of mind.
Admission is $25 general, $15 students. If you show proof of vaccination you will receive $5 off admission.
Because of the Delta surge we will be requiring facemasks for entry.
Presale tickets will be available shortly through Ticket Tailor. If you go ahead and buy a ticket and wish to receive the discount for being vaxxed, we'll just refund you $5 on the day of show.
