Summer Solstice Festival, Tatsuya Nakatani June 22, 2024
2024 will mark our 8th annual Summer Solstice celebration. Planning is underway now.
Already confirmed for the festival is percussionist, composer, and sound artist Tatsuya Nakatani. Tatsuya has made more than 80 recordings. His music centers around his adapted bowed gong, supported by an array of drums, cymbals, and singing bowls. This is contemporary work with the dramatic pacing, formal elegance and space of traditional Japanese music.
